Skills and Abilities:
This is not an account management position. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of selling complex technology, data and/or analytics into new P&C insurance industry accounts
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technology, data and/or analytics to the P&C insurance industry using verbal, written and oral communications.
Communication must be compelling and clearly articulate the Valen value proposition and how a prospect insurance carrier will derive benefit from the Valen solutions
Ability to cold call a prospect C level executive and communicate the Valen value proposition efficiently and effectively in order to get the next meeting
Ideal candidates can demonstrate their ability to navigate complex, matrix sales processes involving different areas of a P& C insurance carrier including underwriting, actuarial and IT
The average contract value at Valen is 1.5 million. The ideal candidate must show that they have closed complex, multi-dimensional and large contracts in their recent past.
Responsibilities
Sell custom predictive models for all commercial and personal lines of business to North American P&C insurance carriers
Sell predictive analytics products built using Valens consortium database, Valen Networks.
Over the course of the next 12 months you will be expected to:
Close 2.5+ million in Valen predictive analytics products/solutions to the P&C insurance market (Valens average deal size is 1.5 million)
Generate a pipeline from North American P&C insurance companies that will support 2.5 million in closings in your subsequent 12 months
Learn the Valen products/solutions to be able to represent them to prospects efficiently and successful without technical
Work with C level executives to educate them on the Valen value proposition, Valen solutions and how Valen products/solutions will improve their operations significantly
Cold call target prospect C level executives and present a compelling value proposition quickly in order to get the next meeting
Travel up to 50 to target prospects to present the Valen solutions/products to prospect senior leadership
Move prospects through the Valen sales cycle effectively and efficiently
Ask prospects tough questions (i.e. what is your approved budget for this initiative) and get answers in order to move prospects up or out of the sales pipeline.
