Director - Ad Sales Research Shazam
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Shazam is looking for a Director of Ad Sales Research who will be responsible for creating targeted, research-based sales support materials, designing modular custom client presentations and developing Ad Sales trade campaigns supporting Shazam across all of its platforms. You will be a rockstar thinker, able to work in a fast paced environment and consult with senior sales and marketing executives on new ways to use research in order to solve client problems and drive ad sales revenue.
Set sales strategies with the Chief Revenue Officer and senior Sales executives.
Leverage information that connects consumer purchase behaviors, lifestyles, and psychographics with network viewership using appropriate tools
Package syndicated research results showcasing brand equity with consumers and advertisers.
Manage the creation and ongoing tracking of audience performance measurements for Shazam and our competitors.
Identify revenue opportunities related to commercial and promotional scheduling.
Continuously communicate with Sales Finance on rate cards and actuals vs. estimates.
Contribute to management presentations formed by the Ad Sales and Sales Marketing teams.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in media research at a broadcast or cable network, ad agency or research supplier including three (3) years of project management experience.
Hands on experience with cross-platform audience measurement systems (Nielsen, comScore, Rentrak, IAG, MRI or Simmons).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A good understanding and curiosity of emerging technology and the challenges of measuring audiences within them.
Bachelor?s degree (preferably in a related field) or significant professional experience required.
Highly motivated self-starter who has experience managing/mentoring analysts.
Dependable, consistent, results-oriented individual who has a critical eye for detail.
Highly effective presentation skills ? able to present in large forums and to command a room of executives
Familiarity with other measurement systems (Audience Watch, Lake5) is a plus.
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals across different departments.
A demonstrated ability to improve efficiencies is highly valued (Excel macros, links, pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
Past experience with primary research methods is desired
