Opportunity
The Midwest Director, Advertising Sales offers a proven and ambitious online media sales executive the unique opportunity to build a multi-million-dollar portfolio and a team as a new line-of-business for an established and respected online health publisher. This role will be responsible for growing digital advertising revenue, cultivating long-term strategic partnerships and increasing marketplace visibility/stature for Healthline Media Networks in the Midwest territory across the Pharmacy, CPG, Insurance and Hospital categories.
Reporting to the SVP, Advertising Sales in our New York Office, s/he will be expected to exceed advertising revenue quota by providing strategic digital advertising solutions designed to maximize advertiser objectives/goals.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership and success in developing the MidWest territory across the Pharmacy, CPG, Insurance and Hospital categories for an established digital heath publisher.
Requirements/Experience
Online media sales experience required - Minimum 7 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in media and 3 years in online media. A proven track record in meeting and exceeding aggressive sales goals, delivering significant revenue across the Pharmacy, CPG, Insurance and Hospital categories
Possess established client and agency contacts and relationships to accelerate revenue growth, particularly with Pharmacy customers
Consultative sales experience required - the ideal candidate will have experience with both agency and client-direct sales, and be highly successful at the consultative sales process. Experience in presenting to and interacting with senior management of prospect organizations
Creative and strategic thinking skills a must ? the position is charged with building strategic, long-term partnerships with major brand marketers. Demonstrate your ability to develop creative sponsorships and integrated marketing packages that will help brands achieve their strategic goals.
Strong Interpersonal Skills ? must be able to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills as well as outstanding people skills. Self motivated to support and motivate others, and excellent self-management skills
Excellent Computer Skills required. MS Office and Internet.
