At FirstRain you will:
? Lead and mentor the Data Analytics team.
? Drive a 'Data Analytics' mindset and associated best practices across the Engineering and
Content Analytics teams.
? Develop and execute on leading-edge, business-oriented analytics that deliver an engaging and
highly-valued user experience.
? Collaborate with customer-facing teams, engineering and content management to prioritize and
schedule when, where and how to apply analytic smarts.
? Put in place self-adaptive/learning systems across our products, including areas such as content
acquisition, entity extraction, relevancy scoring, junk elimination, event detection, natural language
processing, emerging trends, neat visualizations, and clustering.
? Provide the essential tools, techniques or algorithms required to automate currently manual
? Architect and build an analytics prototyping and development platform.
This role requires that you have:
? 10+ years of successful application of machine learning and statistical analysis to natural language
and big data in a business environment.
? Experience and comfort with big data storage and management technologies.
? Very strong programming, statistical and mathematical skills.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate about data analytics at
a business level.
