Direct ?hunter? sales role calling on specialty physicians where the buyer is the managing physician / managing partner. Consultative sales approach and experience required, with preference given to candidates with a demonstrated track record utilizing the concepts of ?Strategic Selling? or other similar methodologies. Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to present credibly to physicians, practice managers and hospital executives. Responsible for lead generating activities via telephone and cold-calling and to manage opportunities through the sales process to close. All activity is entered into the AHS CRM system (Salesnet). The role also includes a territory business development component in which potential acquisition targets for the company are to be identified and initially qualified for further analysis/due diligence.
Candidates must reside within the territory and have a strong working knowledge of the local healthcare market. Travel to prospect / client locations required. Salary commensurate with experience. Targeted earnings of $180K, with unlimited commission potential for outstanding performance. Commission upside will be very attractive for successful candidates. Required Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years, prefer 5-10 years or more, successful sales experience targeting hospital-based physicians with a demonstrable track record of outstanding success;
Strong understanding of the key industry issues facing specialty physician groups and proven ability to discuss them with physicians, practice managers, and hospital executives;
Experienced at cold calling, both phone and in-person, and developing new client relationships and in communicating the value proposition;
Demonstrated skills in prospecting, negotiating, and closing solution sales with specialty physicians;
Self starter, self motivated, self managed;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Strong interpersonal and client interface skills;
Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
Strong computer and presentation skills;
Bachelor?s degree required.
