We believe our future success will be the direct result of delivering best-in-class photo sharing and storage experience to our audience. You will play a key role in expanding consumer reach and increasing revenue through strategic partnerships.
As our Director of Business Development you will be charged with working on three types of partnerships: distribution, revenue generation, and technology enhancements. These will include mobile OEMs, carriers, platform partners such as Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon, technology enablers and other revenue & distribution partners. You will represent Photobucket to these companies, building relationships and educating partners on the business. You will work with the VP of BD and Strategy and the revenue team to set the business strategy. The chosen candidate will be a strategic thinker, curious to find new ways to drive both business and partner value. You will identify key opportunities, assess benefits, sell internally, develop terms and follow deals through to completion. In this exciting position, you can think big, communicate well, assess quickly, prioritize and make data driven recommendations.
Initiate and manage executive level relationships with North America mobile carriers, mobile handset OEMs, consumer electronics manufacturers, social networking platforms, image-related service providers etc.
Analyze, position and sell appropriate opportunities to the broader organization
Work with business development, finance, and legal to bring those opportunities to fruition
Analyze and prospect new opportunities to achieve overall goals of business (revenue & audience)
Closely collaborate with marketing, product, sales operations and engineering to ensure resources are garnered and partners? needs are met
Build and foster strategic partnerships with multiple touch points
Represent partner needs with legal, product and marketing groups
Develop business analysis and presentation materials as needed
Assist in developing and streamlining business processes
5-8+ years Business development, Corporate strategy or GM experience
Experience in structuring partnership relationships
Proven ability to identify, define, develop, and close strategic deals
Familiarity with on-line services advertising, or CE (tech /internet)
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external partners
Ability to negotiate complex agreements
Ability to model opportunities
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers, and employees
