The Director, Coding and HIM Innovation will be a strategic leader of the principles of Precyse HIMnovation. Reporting directly to the Chief Client Officer, this individual will have responsibility for driving innovation in the HIM service lines with an initial focus on the Coding and Audit services business. A key focus will be leading the integration of ICD-10 into all Precyse service lines including Coding and Auditing, HIM Consulting and Strategic Sourcing. This will include building out a Dual Coding offering and the creation and management of offshore resources to support the business lines. This leader will be a key contributor to the integration of Precyse technologies into the Precyse service delivery model. It is an exciting opportunity to join an organization driving innovation in Health Information with the tools to provide a complete solution to our clients.
Working directly with business leaders, product management, sales and marketing, this Director will build programs and resources to facilitate achievement of revenue and profit growth objectives. Moderate to significant travel to client sites and other locations will be included.
Provide strategic leadership across Coding Service line initially with expansion into broader HIM services to build in depth plans that articulate innovative growth opportunities and objectives, key stakeholders, current capability analyses, strategic options, assumptions and risks, and recommended solutions.
Work with needed business leaders to ensure successful integration of ICD-10 and Precyse technologies into targeted service delivery.
Build and manage alternative coding resources such as international partnerships and expand into other service lines.
Provide leadership for new dual coding offering in conjunction with VP Coding and Audit services.
Facilitate the ideation process, pulling in key cross-functional partners to generate an abundance of concepts to compete in the rapidly changing Coding and HIM environments.
Align innovation activities with existing portfolio gaps and new market opportunities.
Determine market potential of key service concepts through quantitative evaluation of emerging industry, economic and competitive trends.
Prepare and present new solution concepts, pilot findings, and Innovation Management initiatives to internal and external audiences.
Work with Precyse leadership to build and foster a climate of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Acts as a thought leader, provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leaders regarding innovation.
Provide strong leadership to ensure delivery of integrated solutions to Precyse clients across the distinct business lines.
Work with business leaders to develop and implement Strategic Growth plans with annual budgets that align with the corporate strategic plan.
Work directly with clients to identify, develop and validate innovative offerings and maintain strong relationships while assessing client satisfaction.
Work proactively with Sales and Marketing to drive Precyse Solution innovative offerings to the target markets and increase market penetration per the assigned business targets.
Recruit, hire and develop colleagues to support innovation and business change initiatives as necessary, ensuring their appropriate compensation, role definition, responsibilities and authority.
Participates on all applicable committees and professional organizations.
Maintains personal and professional growth which includes cutting edge knowledge of JCAHO, HIPAA, OIG and other regulatory issues impacting our industry.
Progressive work experience required with previous experience as a business services and/or technology solutions manager and consulting experience in healthcare or a healthcare services organization.
Bachelor?s Degree required, Master?s preferred in Health Information Management or healthcare technology .
Proven track record in business development and growth, thought leadership, complex project management and business innovation.
Strategic thinker who can analyze complex situations and identify creative solutions, preferably with an understanding of health care and health care information systems.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement short, mid and long-term strategic plans.
Familiarity with offshore business partnerships.
Experience or exposure to Lean Six Sigma and/or other continuous improvement programs.
Proven leadership skills and success in working with a remote workforce.
