QUALIFICATIONS
Recyclebank is seeking an individual who is entrepreneurial, experienced, and results-oriented to sell, market and develop comprehensive solutions for governments and other private organizations. Experience selling a complex, systems-level product or service to local governments and/or large commercial organizations is required. Recent experience selling throughout the South Central region of the US is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is also highly creative, an original thinker, and a problem-solver with exemplary consultative and organizational skills. The desire to thrive in a fast-growing, controlled-chaos small business environment is critical, as is a strong belief in the environmental mission of RecycleBank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The role of the Director will be to:
Create new revenue by building and managing a pipeline of customer prospects from identification to negotiation to execution.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of Recyclebank's offerings to prospective clients.
Negotiate and review contracts to close deals quickly and efficiently, with optimal terms.
Leverage expertise in municipal government and strategic B2B sales to navigate and accelerate the sales process.
Build on existing and form new relationships.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Personal sales record showing a consistent ability to develop and maintain lucrative long-term relationships with leading companies.
Rigorous sales process management, negotiation and analytical skills.
A thorough understanding of navigating the municipal contract process, including procurement rules and regulations, requests for proposals, etc.
Ability to present a complex solution to city councils, mayors, public works leaders, and other executive decision makers.
Willingness and ability to dive in a "hands-on" approach to the sales process.
Exceptional decision-making and problem solving skills.
Ability to perform and adapt as needed within a fast-moving, dynamic work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication with an inspirational presentation style.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree required, advanced degree a plus.
5-10 years of field sales experience with responsibility in enterprise or government sales.
Experience working in an environment with aggressive growth targets, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas.
Proven ability to manage long and complex sales cycles.
