Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Lithium is looking for an expert in media relations and analyst relations with a strong understanding and enthusiasm for social customer strategies to ensure Lithium is featured in key media outlets along with participation in briefings and meet-ups. Additionally, your affinity for enterprise social communication strategies will help Lithium customers & prospects plus other industry professionals grasp the high-value, case studies for these solutions, which will directly promote and evangelize Lithium?s proven success and vision. This position also requires a keen interest in enterprise software, strong capabilities in managing both traditional and social PR tactics, and impeccable writing and messaging skills.
In this role, you will have responsibility for helping Lithium meet its business objectives for industry leadership and leveraging Lithium?s external PR agency relationships. Working closely with Lithium's executive and marketing teams along with Lithium?s customers, the media and event management groups, the Director of Corporate Communications will lead the identification and coordination of a wide variety of public relations activities including news articles, contributed articles, and public speaking opportunities. Using online news and social web tracking services, you will also provide analysis on Lithium?s market mentions, terminology, and emerging topics. This position also includes analyst and influencer relationship building responsibilities whereby you will assist with planning, development, and program execution.
Develop a program of diverse campaigns to maximize media exposure and perception, which aligns with target audience for lead gen and revenue goals
Maintain highly productive relationship with Lithium?s global PR agency and effectively manage and prioritize PR agency budgets to results
Press release and media alert schedules & strategic management for publishing across traditional and social channels
Executive communications and messaging
Collaboration with internal communications team
Cultivate industry analysts and influencers to help communicate core messages
Utilize media measurement tools to provide outreach guidance. Leverage reporting and measurement tools on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing preferred
7+ years of experience in Public Relations and technology, either at an agency or corporate in-house; B2B enterprise software experience highly desirable
Strong interest in evangelizing and growing the need for social marketing, customer experience, and customer communities
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal professionally with the sales and marketing teams, executive management along with vendors, partners, customers, and industry analysts
Experience with online news and social web monitoring tools
Superb writing and editing skills with strong grasp of AP style
Proven project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines with limited resources
Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and communicate priorities to stakeholders
High level of energy, enthusiastic team player with dedication to excellence
Some US and international travel may be required
