Description:
The Credentialing Director is responsible for all internal credentialing processes for the division and oversees the Medical Staff Services team. They will partner with quality management and operational leaders to ensure that working relationships and communication around credentialing is happening at all levels. They will be an advocate for our culture of quality.
Essential - ? Work with MSS managers to develop a comprehensive staffing plan including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring individuals
? Build and maintain a positive and effective team culture that allows all participants to contribute to their full potential
? Apply our core value of continuous improvement to standardize file review processes and other team processes. Review and update frequently
? Collaborate with QM and CVO departments for compliance, approvals, and best practices
? Work with operational leaders on negative application outcomes and implement any necessary process improvements
? Manage and own the audit processes to confirm that we meet credentialing policies and procedures and that files are completed in a timely manner
? Approve requests for changes/updates to CH physician application, verbal reference and/or clinical capability forms
? Manage and own the review process, approval process, tracking and execution of all delegated agreements for the division
? Act as a liaison between sales teams, MSS, and QM
? Ensure compliance with post assignment requests from QM
? Monitor and enhance PRQA process
? Partner with the training department for new hire and continuing education with regard to credentialing
? Conduct regular, effective one on one meetings regularly with both direct and indirect reports
? Coordinate with sales leaders on ways to improve results through service excellence
? Collaborate with business partner leaders to identify and implement best practices
? Create and manage an effective employee retention plan
? Partner with CHG Lean to improve team processes and efficiency
? Achieve MSS team results through coaching and development of leaders
? Observe team members work habits, attitude, and results to develop performance evaluations and effective plans for performance improvement with direct reports
? Contribute to division profitability goal through employee development, process improvement, team cost savings and operating with a lean culture
? Assume other duties as assigned
Requirements
Skills:
Required - ? 3 years leadership experience
? Strong written and oral communication skills, especially phone skills
? Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
? Proven time management skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines
? Strong organization skills and attention to detail and proven accuracy with record keeping
? Demonstrated researching and problem solving skills
Preferred - ? Understanding of the healthcare staffing industry, locum tenens preferred
? Technical understanding of physician specialties and healthcare practice setting
? Adaptable in managing change
Experience & Education:
Required- ? Successful experience in effectively managing employees to reach organizational goals
? Demonstrated experience in coaching for growth and development
? Three years work experience in a management position supporting professional level functions in a fast paced, team environment
? Undergraduate level education or equivalent experience
Preferred - ? Bachelors Degree
? Knowledge of internal operational systems and processes
? Demonstrated experience leading and coaching direct reports
? Regularly capitalizes on learning opportunities
