Position Description
Represent E2open during the sales cycle as the subject matter expert on supply chain business processes (such as outsourced manufacturing, planning/forecasting, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, vendor managed inventory, etc.), related issues and how they map to E2open solution offerings; must be able to represent business and high level technical topics.
Manage the solution selling aspect of the overall sales process in support of the E2open sales and business development teams.
Drive an ad hoc discussion with supply chain and IT customer representatives to understand their business and technical issues and pique their interest in E2open.
Conduct an assessment to understand customers business processes & integration requirements and define an E2open solution that meets their needs.
Develop compelling financial business cases for customers to justify investment in E2open solutions
Develop materials needed to support E2open solution sales efforts, including PowerPoint presentations, proposed solution design documents, and assist in responding to RFPs/RFIs providing specialist technical content.
Deliver demonstrations of software solutions to prospects
Work with E2open Product Management & Marketing to understand market requirements, and opportunity and then define the strategy and direction for individual E2open products, solutions and the associated road-map.
Educate E2open customers, partners, industry analysts and prospects on E2open and the E2open solution offerings.
Represent E2open and E2open solutions as thought leaders at industry events, trade shows, and user groups.
Qualifications
8+ years work experience
Minimum of 4 year degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing systems design/implementation or related fields
Significant experience in technical pre-sales, and/or deployment of enterprise software solutions in a technical role, including a proven ability to document and present ideas and work product to customers and gain their acceptance.
History of analyzing supply chain problems, defining solutions, building business cases and gaining stakeholder buy-off
Hands-on experience in developing financial business cases cash flow analysis, NPV, ROI etc.
Detailed knowledge of enterprise software and the software business, including proven experience with SAP, Oracle and other ERP & APS systems, as well as supporting and maintaining enterprise software under strict SLA requirements
Preferred Experience/Skills:
MS in Industrial Engineering or related field, MBA optional, but beneficial in this role
APICS certification a plus
Experience working in functional aspects of ERP, APS software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JDA/i2/Manugistics, etc.), or supply chain business process consulting experience (e.g. PRTM, Deloitte, Bearing Point, IBM, etc.).
