About the Role:
The Director of Analytics is responsible for the overall use of data across the company. With a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business decisions and business value, this director drives improvements to, and use of, the Big Data Warehouse for the company. This includes development of data marts, executive dashboards, customer analytics, business analytics, experiment systems and more.
The director works closely with officers and feature teams from a strategic perspective to identify and maximize opportunities to improve business processes by utilizing data. He or she will promote the strategic use of information and enable the workforce to use data as a competitive tool. He or she will provide corporate leadership, vision, and direction for data warehousing and analytic systems, in support of business objectives and requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Mentor product owners, data analysts and data scientists while driving business analysis, customer segmentation, predictive modeling frameworks and business forecasting
Work with the executive team to continuously improve a culture of data driven decision making
Lead the design and expansion of a scalable, high performance data warehouse and analytical platform used for complex reporting and analytics
Design and build executive dashboards and feature dashboards for decision support and performance measurements
Oversee the development of research and data analytics that drive business insights and business growth through data driven action
Lead the creation of classifiers, large scale recommenders, cluster analysis, graph algorithms, time series analysis and trending, text analytics for applications in anti-fraud, customer experiments, marketing optimization, online gaming, marketing efforts, financial modeling, feature development, customer service, operations and social networking
Communication

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Bachelor?s Degree (Master?s Degree preferred) or similar experience
A proven track record of creating business value from data at multiple companies
15+ years in corporate data warehousing and analytical systems, technologies and methodologies
10+ years strong working experience with OLAP systems
Experience in a Linux environment
Experience using and training others in experiment design and experiment analysis

Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Proven success building and leading a team of data analysts and data scientists
Experienced driving change across an organization and a business
Experience with Hive, Hadoop, Pig, R, Cloudera, ETL a plus
Experience using statistical computing tools for data visualization, sampling, analysis, model selection, estimator bias, calculated variance, and significance testing
Experience delivering highly compelling business presentations and internal training sessions
