The Director of Data Operations is responsible for working with the VP of Data Management to maximize the corporate value of data assets by designing, developing and supporting data management development and infrastructure platforms to advance Accolade?s data driven business. An ability to think strategically and execute tactically is critical. Tactically the focus will be on establishing highly reliable, controlled and largely automated capabilities to manage the continuous flow of data to and from multiple partners. Strategically, designing these platforms to leverage current and emerging technologies and partner relationships will be critical to achieving a dynamic, robust, data management platform.
Daily, The Director of Data Operations will be responsible for leading and managing all operational areas supporting the Accolade Data Management platforms including the Data Warehouse Development, Data Operations and Database Administration teams. This individual will lead the evaluation, selection, implementation and adoption of a ?next generation? ETL (Extract Transform and Load) framework, Data Integration layer and the data management platform (currently SQL Server) to ensure that data is optimally stored, accessed and managed across the enterprise to meet aggressive business growth goals and service level agreements. A core capability component of the role will be the building and leveraging of collaborative partnerships with peers in Security, Infrastructure and Multi-Channel Development. The ability to function and deliver at high levels across a multi-platform environment will be a key to ensuring the build and maintenance of a world class data management platform.

Additionally, the Director of Data Operations will be responsible for working with the Data Management Program Director to lead the adoption of the Agile development methodology across Data Management and in coordination with other areas within IT. The Director must quickly adapt and demonstrate a proven ability to deliver high quality results while leading a diverse team through growth and Agile adoption.
Bachelor?s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum ten+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An undergraduate degree in computer science or related field is strongly preferred as is advanced training, advanced certifications and/or advanced business or computer science degrees.
Minimum 7-10+ years in leadership roles in data management function including new feed implementations, data processing audits and controls, job monitoring and error reporting, data warehousing and outsourcing for large, complex data driven companies. Strong preference for healthcare experience.
Roll-up your sleeves, hands-on style, and entrepreneurial head-set.
Proven track record implementing ETL tool suites such as Informatica, AbInitio or DataStage.
Experience with the complete information system life cycle from design through to deployment
Experience in Database Administration like Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, NoSQL, etc.
Substantial experience in SQL and or PL/SQL
Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends to support client implementations.
Executive presentations and ability to communicate effectively with ?C? level executives will be required.
Experience in Data Warehouse Development and Database Management within the healthcare industry is preferred but not required.
