Care2 Inc. is seeking a dynamic digital advertising professional with agency experience to help strategically position, market and sell high engagement, cause-oriented advertising to leading consumer brands and agencies. The Director will report to the Vice President, Brand Engagement, and will be based in New York City.

Position Description
The Director, Digital Advertising Sales and Partnerships will join a small, very focused team with an exciting opportunity to build the business. The new Director will drive revenue by identifying and cultivating opportunities that align with Care2's pro-social mission, working collaboratively to close major ad buys from leading consumer brands and agencies. There is a significant opportunity to thrive and grow in this position if you enjoy working in a creative and entrepreneurial environment while being hands-on with web-based tools. The Director will develop customized presentations and creative positioning, build face to face relationships with clients and prospects, and consult with clients on campaign execution and success metrics. The right candidate must be a savvy, aggressive and sophisticated media and interactive professional who actively listens to clients' needs and understands how to develop highly responsive and engaging advertising solutions that meet or exceed these needs.
Responsibilities
Meet face to face with clients and prospects regularly to strengthen relationships, boost awareness of Care2's offering and identify opportunities.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of Care2's site and how to engage its audience in effective campaigns to deliver on clients' success metrics.
Familiarity with the tools and metrics associated with online ad placement, reporting and success metrics.
Create innovative and successful client proposals with custom creative, placements, impressions and pricing.
Monitor the progress of campaigns and collaborate with Care2's internal team to manage overall client satisfaction.
Represent Care2 and generate new leads at industry conferences and networking events.
Help to establish alliances with other media companies and partners.
Track sales activities using Salesforce.com tools.
Achieve individual quota on a quarterly and annual basis.
Competencies
3-5 years of experience in digital advertising sales at a media company or ad agency.
Demonstrated success in other media advertising sales roles is a plus.
Experience in cause marketing and brand engagement is a plus.
Active network of contacts with leading corporate brands and agencies.
Strong active listening, relationship building, consultative selling and client management skills.
Self-starter, dynamic and able to thrive in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision.
Superb writing, presentation and public speaking skills, and ability to interact effectively with teammates.
Willingness to travel when necessary for in-person sales calls and conferences.
Previous experience using Salesforce.com and Photoshop is a plus.
BA or BS college degree.

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus quota-based monthly commission.
