Overview:
iCrossing is looking for a Digital Media Director for their Chicago Office.
The Media Director serves as the leader for a large team, multiple teams or regional office of media professionals. The position is focused on providing display media expertise to both internal and external clients, leading and managing the media team, reviewing and driving overall client media strategy, financial management of assigned team and associated clients, and ensuring excellence in delivering display media products.
Responsibilities:
Media Skills
Oversees client media strategy and annual planning from beginning through final delivery
Directs team(s) comprised of AMD(s), Media Supervisor(s), Media Planner(s), and Assistant Planner(s)
Leads client strategy sessions and supports team in presentation of large scale client initiatives
Drives innovation/experimentation efforts
Looks for opportunities to expand existing and sell new business to clients
Prepares staffing requirements for new business
Financial management of team resources
Manages negotiations for high value and/or complex packages
Supports the needs of Group/VP/SVP Media Director
Responsible for Media Audit success and direction of team in material preparation for audit needs
Project Management
Demonstrates highly organized team management, specifically in the efficient use of staff across multiple projects
Prioritization setting for team
Communication Skills
Ability to direct and appropriately delegate tasks to AMDs, Media Planners, and Assistant Planners effectively
Evolves relationships with sales community, proactively looks for larger partnership opportunities for clients
Demonstrates expertise in presentation and sales capabilities
Client Management
Leads client meetings
Manages client inquiries regarding plan or team
Viewed as a strong strategic resource for client
Respected as the leader of the broader team
Teamwork/People/Corporate Citizenship
Positively participates in team environment
Mentors and leads team members, provides critical feedback in a constructive manner
Manages performance metrics, goals and career path for team; ensures every team member has a plan in place

Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience in field of online advertising, previously in an AMD role
Experience working specifically within a digital display media department
Experience in working in both direct response and brand driven media environments
Management lead in a multi-team environment
Passion for digital marketing
Detail oriented and organized
Proven negotiation skills and sales relationships
Experience with agency financial principals
Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with general Web based interfaces
Experience working with DART for Advertisers or other relevant 3rd party adserver
