Job Summary:
We are looking for a Director of Direct and Digital Marketing to lead customer acquisition for our Streaming Video Subscription Service. We are looking for someone with deep marketing experience in both Online and Direct Response Marketing. They must also be passionate about the LOHAS (lifestyles of health and sustainability) industry, as well as have an understanding of internet video services and business models. Reporting to the Gaiam TV Digital Strategy Officer, they will have tremendous influence and responsibility to position Gaiam TV as the leading provider of streaming conscious media.

The primary objectives for this role are:
Drive the customer/member acquisition activities on a day to day basis
Develop and implement Email Marketing, Paid Search, Affiliate Marketing and Ambassador strategies to support acquisition of new members
Drive marketing through internal Gaiam Marketing channels including, database/email marketing, catalogue and a host of other internal programs.
Drive Friends and Family referral programs.
Drive revenue and profitability objectives through strategic planning, research and analytics.
Manage budget.
Support Marketing Operations needs and work collaboratively with Creative Services Retention marketing and Development groups.
Ensure all decisions are made with our Customer?s interest in mind
Fully understand who our best customers/members are and how we can better serve them
Any applicant to this position must:
Have 5 to 10+ years of direct to consumer online marketing experience, ideally as a manager of a high traffic, consumer facing, streaming media or brand name company
Have a strong record of success in customer acquisition and building life time value
Have a deep understanding of the full range of online marketing acquisition programs and interactive media alternatives
Have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, lead as well as execute, become skilled at new areas quickly, take ownership of issues/projects and generate support and enthusiasm amongst peers
Have strong analytics and financial skills
Possess high enthusiasm, creativity and the ability to recruit, motivate and manage a team
Be currently living a LOHAS lifestyle
Be willing to live in the Denver/Boulder area
