Director Engineering / Architect - Display Advertising MyBuys

This is key member of Engineering leadership team who will be instrumental in driving forward our Dynamic Display Adverting solution. Were committed to investing in our Advertising solution, and as such this is a high profile role in the company. Depending on the individual, this role can either be a Director or Architect.

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Overall architecture and design of our Display Advertising solution
Hands on technical role; contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including the architecture, analysis, design, implementation, and QA
Manage and mentor a highly skilled team of Engineers; lead by example
Collaborate with MyBuys Product Management to define product requirements and ensure product architecture will meet those requirements.
Present technical vision to internal and external customers.

Prerequisites
Requires a B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Computer Science
Startup Experience required

Requirements

10+ years hands on experience building scalable solutions in Java
Excellent leadership & management skills with ability to scale with the rapid growth of MyBuys
Deep domain experience in Display Advertising (behavioral targeting, Ad serving, analytics, optimization, real time bidding, reporting, campaigns, segmentation)
Rock solid technical skills in Java, Spring, Hibernate, Velocity, JMS, Linux, Oracle
Experience with distributed systems, Hadoop, HBase, Hive, & Pig
Proven ability to communicate ideas effectively in both oral and written forms.
