The Director, Evangelism will position Concur Connect as a highly regarded and well-known application platform within the application developer and solution provider communities. He/she will raise awareness and create demand for the Concur Connect platform by establishing a presence in the developer community and communicating the value proposition via conferences, tech press, advertising, networking, evangelists and other communication channels.
The Concur Connect platform enables suppliers, application developers and service providers to deliver value and be exposed to the 20 million travelers and 18,000 enterprises that use Concur's core travel booking and expense services. For travelers, the benefit is obvious. Regardless of which apps and services you choose to plan, book and travel, the data and services available via the Concur Connect platform will make them smarter, more proactive and more tailored to your needs. And where applicable, will pull information back from those applications to seamlessly complete your expense reports. Further, the platform will enable services and applications yet to exist as we open up a world of data and services previously unavailable to the developer & supplier communities. Imagine automated rescheduling of appointments triggered by travel delays, highly personalized recommendations and offers from your favorite apps and travel sites, bypassing the hotel check-in process, and more. The possibilities are endless.
Further, the platform enables solution providers to bring innovative new offerings to market which better address travel and expense management needs of the enterprise and small business market - allowing for greater visibility, dramatically improved workflows, frictionless legal & regularity compliance, greater breadth and smarter travel options, and much, much more.
Position Concur as a highly regarded and well-known application platform within the developer and solution provider communities
Generate sufficient developer and partner demand to yield high-usage, revenue-generating integrated applications
Deliver a long-term value proposition for Developer experience
Integrate with Concur Connect Partner Program for a seamless value proposition
Develop field marketing collateral and messaging conveying value proposition and success stories
Establish relationships and educate press, industry influencers and potential partners
Develop critical and qualified feedback loop to feed continuous platform improvement process
Establish the preeminent developer conference in travel - a highly publicized, well-known and widely attended innovation summit
Education, Experience & Training required:
Past experience in raising awareness, generating demand and driving adoption of application platform highly preferred
Significant experience and demonstrated success in building a brand and presence within the developer community
Experience launching developer conferences
Well-versed in platform technologies
Strong connections and established relationships throughout the technology industry, especially tech press, thought leaders and key influencers
Leadership experience including inspiring, influencing and leading in a matrixed organization
+7 years experience in technology platform marketing
Displays passion for & responsibility to the customer
