Responsibilities:
Zipcar is looking to add a Director. Fleet Finance & Treasury. Reporting to the
Vice President & Treasurer, this lead finance position will be responsible for
fleet planning & analysis, compliance, and business decision support. Key
responsibilities include financial leadership to executive management; manage
deliverables and compliance of Zipcar?s asset-backed finance facility as well
as oversight of Zipcar?s banking, merchant services, investments, accounting
deliverables and controls. The Director will possess strong business acumen, excellent analytical and Excel skills, proven leadership and management experience, customer service philosophy and the ability to build relationships and engender trust across the organization.
Day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and are not represented in their entirety:
Oversee the external funding, compliance, vehicle purchases, detailed reporting, and audit requirements for the asset backed debt facility
Work with fleet operations and finance to support vehicle performance analysis, vehicle remarketing progress and other projections impacting the P&L
Direct the preparation of monthly vehicle usage forecasts presented to Executive management enabling decision support on fleet levels by market
Oversee a small team supporting various functions of the department, including fleet finance & analysis, compliance, merchant services, cash investments and treasury analytics
Maintain key relationships with vendors including fuel card providers, operating lease companies, banks, merchant processors and lenders/agents of the asset-backed lending facility.
Be active participant working with FP&A, Accounting and Fleet Operations to
support growth, strategic analysis, cost-saving opportunities and key reporting needs
Support SOX and SEC compliance
Support strategic finance initiatives: M&A, debt refinancing, rating agencies
Negotiate bank and service fees
Introduce and implement new products/services to reduce costs and simplify processes
Ad-hoc reports/tasks to support fleet operations, treasury, and accounting as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in quantitative major; MBA/CFA/CTP preferred
Minimum of 8 yrs. experience within finance/accounting organization
Minimum of 3 yrs. managing a department
Experience building and developing effective relationships with external vendors, cross-functional peers and senior management; consensus builder
Excellent and enthusiastic communication and presentation skills; insightful and thoughtful communicator
Demonstrated success in project management, process improvement, and organizational/team development
Ability to move between executive leadership and close supervision of department tasks
Accounting, asset-backed financing and/or leasing background is a plus
Advanced Excel skills; financial modeling background in strategic finance
