We are committed to improving patient outcomes through the delivery of clinical information via mobile devices to healthcare professionals (HCPs) worldwide.
We are currently seeking a Director of HCP Production & Content whose responsibilities will include on-time delivery of medically relevant (original and repurposed) content in a digital format across a variety of mobile platforms and in several languages, working with editorial sources and delivery teams across the globe.
The Director of HCP Production & Content is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution and delivery of all content development projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments and goals. The preferred candidate will possess fantastic communication and collaborative skills allowing them to provide direction, coaching and development to a remote staff in Mumbai, India throughout the software development life cycle. This provocative and driven individual will be responsible for innovative content development initiatives that impact the company both strategically and financially and will remain customer focused throughout the process to provide insight and guidance to external and internal clients on the aforementioned initiatives. To exceed in this role, the preferred candidate will be required to establish and nurture relationships with executive level team members and translate their vision into actionable tasks. They will also be expected to perform business operations analysis by studying performance and operations of the business to continually identify areas of opportunity for growth and improvement.
Define and deliver project requirements to the original and repurposing content teams for execution of high-volume medical content production for digital delivery in mobile and web formats.
Track schedules, direct resource planning, and communicate with developers. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and in scope.
Work with editorial teams on script and milestone development, content preparation and quality assurance.
Work both independently and with an international delegation of resources to ensure appropriate use of workflows, standards and processes during development of both original content and repurposing of published content.
Responsible for developer and vendor relationship management, and identifying ways to maximize tactical efficiencies.
Educate, train and support both internal personnel and vendors in the development of digital publishing, medical content creation and quality testing products.
Organize transmittal, planning and project initiation meetings as appropriate.
Enforce established quality assurance processes/standards with various review stakeholders during milestone process, and apply creative problem solving techniques to development issues.
Collaborate with key executives to understand critical deliverables regarding needed clinical content, including financial, operational and delivery goals.
Provide content which establishes Physicians Interactive properties (Omnio, etc.) as the go-to resource for medical professionals, providing up-to-the-minute medical knowledge.
Responsible for strategic planning, cost estimation, project plans/timelines, and project communication for internationalizing content and creation of content in multiple languages.
Manage translations and internationalization of content.
Manage production of multi-language content.
Develop and deliver regular reporting on departmental productivity to support the design and implementation of new and revised processes for continuous improvement.
Develop and implement goals, objectives, processes and priorities for content development.
Conduct research, analyze data and make recommendations for rich, useful, content offerings.
Build, develop and retain high-performing teams capable of working cross-functionally with other areas of the organization.
Collaborate and coordinate across multiple internal groups.
Maintain relationships with high-level contacts and producers for external clients acting as the liaison between the clients and any involved groups within the company.
Select, review, support and manage budget for vendors and consultants.
Experience with domestic and international ecommerce, mobile and online software development.
Demonstrated ability to manage and translate various tasks into executable plans to achieve key deliverables and timelines.
Must be able to use collaborative management practices, building and maintaining strong business relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
Experience working within a regulated environment, preferably in the medical and/or pharmaceutical industries.
Detail oriented with excellent analytical, verbal, written and presentation skills.
Familiarity (and high comfort level) with various computer systems and electronic publishing technologies.
A bachelor?s degree and 7 years of professional work experience.
Experience with program and project management.
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle.
Demonstrated experience with continuous process improvements.
Ability to appropriately balance strategic goals with tactical implementation.
Expertise in providing cross-organizational management of software development programs from initiation through delivery.
Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for software development.
Demonstrated transformative leadership ability.
Ability to travel up to 20%
