DriveCam is currently recruiting for a Director, Human Capital who will be responsible for partnering with the Vice President, Human Capital and the senior management team to build a market-leading, enduring company, with a culture of excellence, through its people. The successful candidate will have a strong HR generalist background including experience shaping culture, developing and recruiting talent, driving change, and effectively communicating.
Job Skills / Requirements:
Talent Sourcing, Management and Development
Partner with senior management to develop human resource planning metrics to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps.
Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans to identify talent within and outside the corporation.
Establish measurement criteria to ensure effectiveness and applicability in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Manage the annual review process to ensure proper understanding of expectations and performance companywide.
Implement integrated talent management system to ensure focus on business goals, development of employee capabilities and career potential, aligned reward systems and retention of talent.
Identify and prioritize skill gaps in the organization to drive the requisition process.
Serve as an advisor to all employees to assist with career development.
Assist senior staff members to help them maximize their abilities and effectiveness in the company.
Employee Communications and Change Planning
Work with VP, Human Capital and senior leadership team to set overall communications strategy, create the tactical plan (including planning tools), and ensure successful execution
Plans, develops, implements and evaluates internal communication programs.
Takes complex information and develops communications that are compelling and appropriate for implementation
Identifies new ways to effectively reach employees and develops effective communications on wide-ranging topics that convey consistent key company messages tied to company/business goals.
Develop change plans that not only include stakeholder analysis and communication strategies but also effective implementation strategies. Execute on the implementation strategies.
HR Functions
Partner with the VP, Human Capital to build a world class HR function.
Professionally manage the day-to-day HR functions (e.g., the benefits programs, talent management, recruiting, onboarding process).
Partner in the development of progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
Design and review benefit programs which utilize an employee and company partnership focused on the health and welfare of the employees.
Enhance and/or develop human resources policies and procedures associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization
Monitor workers? compensation claims and unemployment claims.
Administer leaves of absence policy relying on substantive knowledge of leave laws and entitlements.
Maintain affirmative action plan.
Global HR experience, a plus.
Trusted Presence and Caretaker
Be the caretaker and enforcer of the Company?s DNA with particular emphasis on ethics, integrity and diversity.
Create an open communications environment where employees desire to approach HR as a first step in any employee-related matter (e.g., issues, career pursuits, management concerns, etc.)
Requirements, Qualifications and Competencies:
Possess an energetic, positive and innovative attitude with high ethical standards and integrity.
Ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
Possess a strategic focus as well as an operational, and detail oriented perspective.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to present on complex topics to employee groups, management at all levels of the company.
Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation.
Knowledge of Federal and California employment laws.
Ability to develop and implement recruiting & selection procedures such as identifying job competencies, writing job descriptions, and creating onboarding plans for new hires & transfers.
Skilled at fostering employee relations.
Ability to execute on implementation strategies.
Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and make timely decisions.
Possess strong work flow management and prioritization skills.
Must be well versed in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Education & Experience
Bachelor?s degree in business administration, HR management, or related discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience required. Master?s degree preferred, but not required.
8 or more years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
PHR or SPHR preferred, but not required.
