The Director, Human Resources develops and implements HR strategy in support of short-term and long-term business goals and provides group and one-on-one coaching with Management and employees to support leadership development, business decision-making,human resources management, and problem solving and performance management.
Partners with specialist groups to ensure coordination of HR strategies and processes across the organization.
Manages the implementation of organizations and cultures that drive innovation and employee engagement.
Partners with business leaders to grow diverse leadership, talent and technical capability in the business.
Develops and implements structures and strategies to improve individual and organizational performance.
Develops and implements effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through periods of change (e.g.acquisition, internal growth, restructurings).
Supports the implementation of appropriate HR solutions aligned with business direction.
Implements global/standardized HR processes at the local level.
Provides leadership and coaching for the HR function and team members.
Acts as coach and source of advice on performance and employee relations related issues.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum 10 years of total business experience with 6 years of applicable HR Business Partner experience is required. Minimum of 4 years of experience leading and managing teams required.
Experience in a large, global organization is strongly preferred. HR and/or business leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience leading project teams required.
Prior Global responsibility/experience strongly preferred.
Proven track record of HR leadership required including HR strategy development, talent management, talent acquisition, leadership development, total rewards, workforce engagement, immigration, and HRIS.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and influencing skills required.
Demonstrated sense of urgency required.
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment required.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong, effective internal customer/business partner relationships required. Must possess strategic thinking, big picture orientation, intellectual curiosity, prudent risk taking, organization & talent development, collaboration & teaming and self-awareness and adaptability competencies.
Must demonstrate strong business acumen and business partnering.
Must demonstrate ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and work well in a team-based environment. Change management and the ability to shape the environment required.
Strong knowledge of leading talent management philosophies and strategies as well as strategy development.
Strong managerial and leadership coaching skills.
Team and organizational dynamics assessment and development.
Must be effective in managing within a matrixed environment.
Must be action oriented driving immediate responses to challenges.
Limited domestic travel is required.
A minimum of a Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related area of focus is required; Master degree (e.g., MBA, MA HR) strongly preferred.
