Reporting to the VP Marketing, this position owns the strategy and execution for generating analysis, insights and trend reports that form the foundation for Flurry industry thought leadership. Flurry has a top reputation in the industry for conducting relevant research and breaking significant industry trends. This position has very high industry visibility across trade analysts, press and customers. For some examples of the analysis and reports we?ve created to date, please visit blog.flurry.com. You will take this effort to the next level. Topics could include trends in mobile consumer behavior, the mobile operating system landscape as well as mobile advertising and monetization.
Key Responsibilities
Drive, extend and reinforce Flurry thought leadership positioning
Share knowledge across the company and industry
Create a strategy and deliver analysis-driven content comprised of ad-hoc topical analysis, as well as longitudinal, recurring research
Liaise with press, analysts, research partners, academia and key customers on inbound inquiries and partnership opportunities
Partner with c-level staff to drive analysis and report creation, delivering output across multiple media including online, downloadable documents and presentation materials
Speak at conferences, as necessary
Requirements
5+ years experience identifying trends, teasing out patterns from data and reporting on them; analytical, quantitative and/or modeling role including investment banking, equity research, management consulting, research or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to communicate powerfully through graphs and charts. Expert at visualizing data.
Evidence of cogent, powerful written reports that influence audiences
Strong logic and analytical ability, combined with a ?nose? to recognize what?s important
Ability to contribute to an ongoing community, academic or industry conversation (e.g., through press, issued reports, trade conferences, etc.)
Strong pattern recognition and sensitivity towards points inflection points and meaningful shifts, combined with coupled with skill to interpret and intuit underlying drivers
Strong modeling skills, including ability to both justify and challenge assumptions, as well as show resourcefulness with sometimes incomplete data sets
Strong presentation and speaking skills
Bachelor degree in relevant field, top-tier MBA strongly preferred
