Responsibilities:
--Manage IT Infrastructure and team to support hyper-growth.
--Establish metrics for the Infrastructure Support including: availability, usability, responsiveness, and continuity.
--Oversee IT supplier agreements and identify areas for quality improvement and cost savings. Negotiate changes to contracts to match business needs. Develop strategic and operational plans and budget as part of the regular planning cycle.
--Implement methodologies and best practices to deliver the greatest value possible from the enterprise systems and services being provided.
--Lead cross functional project teams in development, tracking, and reporting on the status of all project deliverables and schedules throughout the project cycle to deliver on time and budget.
--Perform estimations for new or changing requirements.
--Negotiate and manage project priorities and manage the infrastructure team to ensure the achievement of goals/objectives in line with key company goals/objectives.
--Intermittent travel to Calxeda locations will be required in this position.
Provide overall leadership to IT team:
--Lead and develop the IT team through mentoring, teaching, training, etc. Drive continual improvement and learning.
--Lead the strategy, planning, direction and coordination of all activities associated with Host Systems, Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, and Voice and Data Networks, including Data Center Operations, Disaster Recovery and Capacity Planning.
--Analyze business situations and recommend technical solutions; plan and manage progress; report results to upper management.
--Evolve the application architecture to meet business objectives and oversee the effective operation and utilization of the existing architecture.
--Develop short and long term technical goals for entire company.
--Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
--Establish IT SLA, escalation procedures and measure key performance indicators.
Education/Qualifications:
--Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, MS or PMP certification is a plus.
--Minimum of 10 years of experience as manager; experience in working with and managing people in distributed and decentralized organization is required.
--Have broad and in-depth infrastructure knowledge (network, server, security, etc.).
--Experience in supporting Hardware and Software Engineering environments.
--Demonstrated, in-depth understanding of Applications Infrastructure issues.
--Successful experience in delivering IT services in a corporate, global environment.
--Competence in project planning, scheduling, and management of multiple, concurrent programs in geographically dispersed locations, both domestically and internationally.
--Demonstrated, in-depth understanding of IT forecasting, planning, implementation, and performance analysis.
--Technical/IT experience as well as a history of successful on-time, on-budget applications/technology deployment projects.
--Strong understanding of all significant components of an overall IT architecture (infrastructure, applications, data management).
--Proven ability to effectively communicate complex IT problems and solutions in simple terms.
