Position Summary
The Billtrust Director, Information Technology's primary responsibility is to support and maintain the Billtrust infrastructure. This includes the network systems, desktop user support, database administration and technology related projects. Responsibilities also include administration and implementation of the IT department objectives and policies & procedures to successfully achieve those objectives.
This individual will create the vision and strategy for the IT team along with a clear direction on how to achieve it. He/she will manage the IT team and the planning, organization, and execution of all IT functions. They will also be involved with the design and implementation of all network changes across the infrastructure, including several remote facilities and data centers.
Primary Responsibilities
: Develop and maintain strategy for continued growth
: Manage the overall relationship with vendors
: Ensure corporate standards & policies are enforced and updated
: Ensure appropriate engagement of internal stakeholders and executives
: Oversee the business and operational risk of internal systems
: Conduct assessments and make recommendations regarding network devices
: Ensure appropriate escalation processes are in place to resolve corporate issues
: Manage benchmark activities to monitor all network devices
: Ensures continuous improvement and innovation to operations systems
: Ensure accuracy and auditability of all system components
: Ensure proper controls are in place for system changes
: Provide accurate reporting for KPI monitoring
: Work with other departments to ensure continued operations and customer satisfaction
: Attract and motivate IT staff to develop a highly skilled team with clear objectives
: Manage security and disaster recovery within the internal network
Qualifications and Skills
: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 10+ years of experience working as a technical individual contributor and 5+ years of successfully managing a technical staff
: Strong leadership skills and experience
: Recent experience leading large scale change initiatives with enterprise level impact
: Experience managing networks, storage devices, and Windows / Linux servers
: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
: Strong understanding of IT architectures using technologies such Network Load Balancers and Firewalls.
: Effective negotiation, influencing and problem resolution skills
: Ability to create the vision, clear direction and strategy for the IT team
