Putney is seeking a Director, Key Accounts to manage the daily sales, marketing, and training activities to achieve the company?s goals and to elevate our products and the Putney message to our key accounts. The Director will build relationships with decision makers at all levels of the key account organization as well as coordinate other Putney team members to maximize relationships that build loyalty and embed Putney in key account?s business.
The Director?s mission is to manage key account business by building and delivering on strategic and tactical sales plans for corporate accounts, buying groups, and large volume hospitals; develop and measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing programs to build awareness and loyalty; develop deep understanding of the key account?s business, organization and veterinary needs for Putney?s products; and ensure Putney focuses on key accounts across Sales, Marketing, Veterinary Services, Customer Service and Supply Chain activities.
The ideal candidate will be a high energy, positive, creative professional with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on market trends, have an understanding of P& L management, and be able to work within teams. He/she must have a minimum of 10 years of sales/marketing experience in the animal health, human health, or related field. He/she will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to build rapport and gain respect with all assigned accounts including executive management and key personnel at all levels. Excellent selling and sales leadership skills are critical for success.
The position is full time, ideally based in Portland Maine, with heavy travel required.
