Rubicon Project is on a mission to automate buying and selling for the $65 billion global digital advertising industry. We are currently looking for a talented and experienced transactional attorney to fill the position of Director of Legal, reporting to our General Counsel from our headquarters office located in Los Angeles.The Director of Legal will support strategic and tactical legal, business affairs and and compliance initiatives and provide support to our General Counsel as required.

Responsibilities:
Draft, negotiate and advise business people with respect to contracts and agreements and interact with clients and clients? counsel
Provide counsel on employment matters
Assist with due diligence and contracts for M&A activity
Prepare, update and improve legal terms and conditions and form contracts and agreements utilized by internal business teams
Review advertising and other marketing materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies
Manage and/or assist with management of claims and litigation in coordination with the General Counsel
Perform other duties and assignments as required, including, implementation of standards for effective legal and contract strategy
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in California
Minimum of 3-5 years practicing in a top law firm with strong corporate transactional experience and client interaction
Directly relevant experience a plus, but not required, including: Intellectual property and privacy law experience,experience with internet or ad tech business, in-house legal experience
Skills/Personal Characteristics:
