Director, MARKETING-Led Chip Products
JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Marketing-LED Chip Products is responsible for managing the life cycle of LED chip products from conception to market release and through end of life. This role will be responsible for defining product strategy, gathering relevant market information, product positioning, inventory management, creation of datasheets, training and pricing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pricing and P&L co-responsibility for Bridgelux LED Chip products that supports company revenue and profitability objectives.
• Create business plans for products that include opportunity assessment, positioning strategy and tactical building plans.
• Primary interface with cross functional development teams.
• Work closely with OEM partners to upgrade and modify existing LED chip product lines using new technical improvement.
• Obtain specific knowledge of competitive products and drive product strategy discussions.
• Create detailed product roadmap and product requirements.
• Develop product release criteria and manage product release process including beta testing, characterization and creation of product specifications and data sheets.
• Act as product Subject Matter Expert in support of sales, developing standardized collateral, training materials and customer focused proposals as required.
• Provide expertise to recommend existing product improvements.
• Manage product launch schedule ensuring that program milestones are met.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• BS in EE or related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Five years of related experience in product management. Experience with solid state lighting and LED chip business highly preferred.
• Relevant experience managing revenue streams of commodity semiconductor products ie. memory is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in developing and launching products.
• Strong decision making and project management skills.
• Proven problem solving abilities.
• Experience working with, and motivating, cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
• Good understanding of both English and Mandarin is required.
• Travel from time to time to support customer and / or partner activities. Travel should be less than 25%
