The MWS Marketing Director is responsible all aspects of strategic marketing and business development for the MWS business. This includes long term strategy (both market and product), product roadmaps, business development, customer and market segmentation, new market development, market communications strategy, and all aspects of market analysis. The business development portion of the role involves assessing the potential for partnerships and closing on them. This leadership role must work closely with all functions within the Company as well as our customers. It also requires working with sales and the business unit management to ensure revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Roles & Responsibilities
Define the product strategy and roadmap
Generate business case / ROI analyses
Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Maintain accurate understand of competitor status and roadmap
Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
Develop sales tools and collateral for promotion
Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
Brief press and analysts and go on press tours
Serve as a leader within the Company and as a representative to the industry
Knowledge, Skill and Competency Requirements
Demonstrated success defining and launching products with large market share
Experience in development and delivery of effective presentations, both internal and external
Willingness to travel 20-40% of total work time
Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Ability to analyze a wide array of data and synthesize it into a coherent business strategy
Experience developing a market communications strategy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
BSEE and MBA preferred, but will consider related education
Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor marketing or related function
5+ years of experience in RF semiconductor marketing
RF experience is a plus
