THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Reply! Inc., based in the East Bay of No. Cal, was founded in 2001 and has since grown to become the leading online marketplace for local advertising. We work with businesses of all sizes, helping them immediately increase sales by driving highly qualified traffic to their websites and/or providing leads from consumers who have requested to be connected with a local service professional. Our advertisers set their own bids in an auction-based environment, paying either on a cost-per-click or cost-per-lead basis; true performance-based marketing. Our culture is very fast-paced, and the business runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so there are a lot of moving pieces. We?re looking for a dynamic candidate who is a master of sales, account management, and data analysis that supports the growth of the business. The Director, Marketplace Development will be responsible for establishing and developing revenue and profit generating business relationships, within our Home Improvement business.
Source, close, and manage client partnerships in the Home Improvement industry that result in adding incremental revenue and profit for both Reply! and our client partner(s)
Prospecting new clients, and working with them throughout the entire sales process as well as managing the relationship thereafter. These clients will be regional to nationwide home services companies (The Home Depot is an example of a current client)
Managing clients that could spend upwards of 6 figures per month with Reply!, and constantly identifying opportunities to optimize and grow the results that our clients get from working with us
Support the VP of Marketplace Operations in our Home Improvement division, also working leaders from other areas of the Reply! business
You?ll be analyzing data such as revenue, margin, monetization, conversion metrics, and performance data from our clients ? all towards supporting rapid growth within the Home Improvement business
You?ll get a crash course on online advertising and how Reply! fits into that ecosystem, but the goal is that you?ll be an expert in 90 days, and you?ll tell us how we could be doing a better job (!)
Prior experience working with an online performance-based marketing/advertising company is preferred
4+ years of prior experience building relationships with both online advertisers and publishers that resulted in incremental revenues and profits
Highly developed sales and negotiation skills, and adept at managing longer sales cycles
Must be results driven and able to set AND execute priorities, and will do whatever it takes to accomplish the expected results
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where the pace is fast and the ability to multi-task is important
An independent, and efficient problem solver
Detail-oriented, with strong financial analysis skills
A highly effective communicator, adept at persuading others to their point of view
Strong technical aptitude, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. (You?ll be required to take a basic Excel test on-site)
BS/BA degree required, MBA preferred.
