Director Medical Education K2M
Responsible for developing, aligning, and delivering organizational effectiveness and training activities to meet K2M?s goals. Responsible for the development, management and execution of training for K2M employees and the field sales forces.
Own and manage a comprehensive calendar of Medical Education events directed at training/education of surgeon/hospital customers and sales colleagues.
Rapidly conduct educational needs assessment for Surgeon/Hospital customers and Sales Force to achieve strategic objectives of driving adoption and utilization of K2M products.
Define industry-leading education strategies and resources, including traditional, video, mobile, and web-based modalities, and execute with any/all available means to enable efficient delivery of medical education and sales training curricula to broadest possible audience.
Serve as primary developer, administrator, and owner of all surgeon Bioskills Labs; surgeon Customer Site Visits; educational opportunities for residents and fellows, including, but not limited to, defining dates, venues, surgeon faculty, agendas, budgets and outcomes analysis.
Working with Sales and Product Marketing, develop a comprehensive sales training program directed at new sales personnel and aligned with company value propositions, technology, and clinical use.
Build strong, positive relationships with key surgeons and OR staff at targeted accounts, and leverage education to actively promote the clinical benefits of K2M products.
Own and manage educational aspects of K2M surgeon consultant activities, including on-boarding of new faculty members.
Ensure educational programs comply with AdvaMed, Sunshine Act and other regulations.
BA/BS Degree required and a minimum of 8 years? experience with training experience preferred.
Strong clinical expertise in Deformity (Scoliosis) and MIS pathologies including surgical techniques, pre-operative planning, intra-operative management of case flow.
Substantial knowledge of implant systems within Deformity and MIS pathologies
Strong internal and external communication skills, adept at public speaking
Strong selling skills and ability to influence manager distributor organizations
Highly organized with ability to multitask
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to travel 50%.
