The Director, Mobile Application Development will manage a team of mobile IT professionals in an innovative and fast-paced environment. He/she will be responsible for planning, successful execution and ongoing support of complex development projects for smart phone, tablet and other emerging technologies.
Work closely with product management, internal client, external clients, design, user experience and other development and support groups to build highest quality products for our consumers.
Drive development to planned timeline, ensuring early and regular communication through all stages of development.
Drive consolidation of products to utilize common underlying technology architecture and components.
Attend scope meetings, review scopes for estimate accuracy and technical correctness.
Promote best practice development habits and highest product quality standards through regular code reviews and open team communication.
Manage work intake through development process, including planning, effort estimation and change management, improving processes to maximize team performance.
Maintain and enhance existing products, balancing schedules among maintenance activities and new product development.
Create and document technical requirements, project plan, use cases, solution architecture, change requests, release notes, monitoring process, root cause analyses, etc. in partnership with product management, project management and other teams.
Keep up to date with new mobile technologies.
Create learning opportunities within the development team through training, conferences, hands-on training and mentorship in projects.
Create opportunities that bring out creativity and passion in work.
Build out the team by hiring top talent with shared values to support growing demand.
Demonstrate problem solving, initiative and technical innovation capable of "rolling-up sleeves and getting hands dirty" from content creation, to production support, to testing.
Build and maintain deep technical skills in iOS, Android, Windows 8, HTML5, social and mobile payments, staying current with recent and upcoming changes to core technologies.
Subject Matter Expert and technology leadership experience for everything mobile including wallet, banking, cloud payments, TSM payments, etc. required.
Serve as the advocate for mobile wallet/payments both internally and externally.
Understand InComm?s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry.
Establish shared vision across company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
Monitor and incorporate industry innovations, conduct technology assessments, and analyze the competitive landscape
Communicate product direction and strategy to senior executives and stakeholders
Develop best practices for the product and collaborate with other internal groups
Strong technical leader capable of motivating the very best software engineers, program managers, business analysts, and quality assurance as well as gaining their respect.

College degree required. At least 7-10 years of prior experience with development projects is required. At least 2-3 years of recent experience with development projects for mobile applications and mobile web sites for iOS, Android, Blackberry, Symbian or Windows Phone is required. Should have at least 3-4 years? experience supervising other development staff, ensuring that coding standards, documentation, and good software engineering practices are maintained.
Standards-based web services development including the following technologies: SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, WS-Security, SAML, XML Schemas, XPath
Extensive experience with Enterprise Services and Open Source computing
Experienced in creating high availability and scalable systems
Demonstrated knowledge of version control tools Solid background developing software foundation components, proofs of concept, and prototypes
New program/start up experience required. Strategy, vision, communication, etc.
Must have managed/led multi-million dollar program efforts.
Must be performance driven, detail and results oriented.
