THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED DescriptionThe Director, Network Operations leads an organization comprised of the following functions. Tier III support, Change Management, Security Operations, Network Maintenance, Surveillance, & Crisis Management. This position is responsible for upholding the mission of ensuring the highest level of technology availability through operational excellence, proactive monitoring, incident management and problem management to ITIL standards while providing the vision to expertly evolve the service, develop and inspire teams, and execute the correct mix of tactical and strategic projects. The Network Operations Center provides efficient, timely, and accurate service in a 24/7/365 environment.
?Responsible for operational stability and excellence including; service delivery, network maintenance, cost efficiency, execution of strategic and tactical projects, and staff development.
?Translating broader business initiatives into clear team objectives and concrete individual goals, aligning appropriate multiple business partners for efficient, coordinated action management.
?This is a critical position that impacts the relationship with external customers and the company?s revenues. Accountability is key
?Ensure that all services are managed proactively to provide the appropriate level of availability and stability
?Restoration of service (incident management)
?Proactive monitoring and automation of repetitive tasks and alert management
?Generating ideas and executing initiatives
?Manage the operations, maintenance and change activities within SLA's or commitments
?Collaborating with other technology and business teams to on board new services / applications
?Develop and deliver procedural, reporting and resource tools: ensuring service level agreements and deliverables are met as contractually required.
?Continually monitor and develop procedures
?Work with the SVP of business process to identify and solve process failures using current industry standards such as ITIL and ISO.
?Minimum of 8 years? experience in Network Operations or working in a NOC setting
?Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in managing a team of 10 people or more
?Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, & Routing Protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BFD, ETC?)
?Strong knowledge of DWDM, SONET, OSP
?Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
?Public speaking and Presentation experience: weekly, monthly and overall data trends
?Groups and stakeholder presentations
?Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science preferred.
?Relevant industry standard certifications (CCNP, CISSP, CEH, CCDP, CCSE, RHCE, etc.).
