Director of Account Management Yelp
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Yelp is growing by the minute, and we?re looking for a Director to head up our Account Management team. This is a strategic role vital to Yelp?s success. The Director oversees the performance of 6 Managers responsible for a team of 60 Account Managers and growing. This fast paced team has an infectiously positive attitude and a drive to win. We?re looking for a leader who can provide strategic vision and day to day management for the department in four key areas: Onboarding, Customer Support, Client Retention and Revenue Growth.
The ideal candidate has previously led a team of 80 - 100 with a track record of success. They must be a talented leader and manager, be strong operationally, passionate about the client experience and have proven success in driving revenue. They must have experience implementing new systems to help an organization scale, be collaborative among a wide variety of internal departments, analytical, detail-oriented, quality-minded and, ideally, a ton of fun.
Set aggressive monthly targets and commit to achieving them.
Build to scale the distinct functional areas: onboarding, customer support, client retention and revenue growth.
Forecast and manage to monthly, quarterly and annual performance
Develop management team for high productivity and employee retention
Streamline and manage to an efficient and productive workflow with best-in-class customer support in mind
Collaborate closely with internal teams to create and present business cases that support product development
Drive hiring plan
Serve as escalation point for client issues
5+ years experience managing sales or account management teams
Strong leader who is revenue minded
Experience creating and implementing operational efficiencies to reduce costs and increase efficiency
Proven track record of revenue retention and growth
Experience partnering with sales to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale to post sale support
Proven experience leading teams to success
Strong interpersonal communication (both verbal and written), confidence interacting with people across all departments and levels of the organization both internally and externally
Expertise in all standard Windows Microsoft programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus
