Essential Job Description:
Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Primary responsibility for preparation of consolidated financial statements in conformity with US GAAP. Provide leadership and accomplish duties through hands on application and management of the US accounting staff which consists of: G/L, Cost Accounting, A/P, A/R, Payroll and Credit & Collections.
Manage timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year end closes
Manage yearly financial statement audit, ensuring a timely audit
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures
Perform monthly intercompany eliminations and consolidations including analysis on currency fluctuations
Interface with, support and provide guidance as needed to the UK accounting team
Oversight and review of financial transactions for the China and Japan subsidiaries
Responsible for cash management and weekly cash forecasting
Review new contracts and agreements to determine proper accounting treatment
Research and advise business management on the proper accounting treatment for new accounting transactions
Responsible for all informational filings to various reporting agencies
Provide data, and coordinate preparation of federal and state income tax returns with external tax firm
Drive the implementation of process improvements/automation
Directly manage a team of employees in the US Accounting Department. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, plus at least 10 years related experience. Licensed CPA is required. Experience in a CPA firm is desired. Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley compliant environment is strongly desired. SAP and BPC experience preferred.
The candidate must be able to successfully work in a high performance culture, have international business experience with foreign subsidiary consolidation, manufacturing cost accounting experience and excellent managerial skills.

Must be accurate, detail oriented and be able to multitask and prioritize effectively
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with business and finance staff
Must be able to act as a change agent in implementing improvements in current transaction and closing processes
