Director of Ad Operations Medialets
The Medialets ad operations team is a high energy group of technically-minded, customer-focused professionals who work tirelessly to bring high-volume efficiency and scale to mobile advertising. Our group is obsessed with uncovering and solving the pain points of mobile, and we work closely with every team in the company to build the tools and processes that are shaping the market. At Medialets, ad operations is the heart of our business and you will be leading this team through tremendous growth as a partner to the largest advertisers in the world.
The director of ad operations is responsible for the success of this team, and serves as a close partner to product, sales and account management. The role encompasses all ad operations processes including ad trafficking, data analytics, monitoring campaigns, managing partner certifications and supervising the troubleshooting of all live ad issues.
Medialets is looking for an exceptional, highly motivated ad operations professional to lead our ad operations team to identify, develop, and implement solutions to scale Medialets? ad serving solutions across the entire mobile industry. We run the #1 mobile third-party ad server for three of the world?s largest agency holding groups, many of the largest independent media agencies, and several large brands directly, and the leader of this group needs the skill and savvy and to confidently interact with the ad operations group of every major publisher and tech vendor in the market.
Ideally, you will have run a team inside of a media agency, and will be intimately familiar with how clients and agency account teams go from pitch to execution of a plan. Preferably, you?ll have interfaced with many of the key vendors in the ad tech ecosystem, and you are deeply attuned to how evolving technologies are impacting the digital media landscape. Direct experience in mobile is helpful, but not a hard requirement. It?s more important that you come with strong tech savvy, intimate knowledge of digital media, great leadership skills, the passion to grow both a team and your own career, and the energy to tackle big, complex challenges. On an ongoing basis, you?ll identify, resolve, communicate, track and report on all mobile ad campaign-related issues, and continuously analyze data to build better tools and processes to grow with the incredible pace of growth in mobile.
Lead and mentor a team of smart, super talented ad ops professionals
Own the success of our trafficking processes, and work with support to help build both internal and customer training programs
Track and obsess over operational metrics, and clearly communicate them throughout the organization
Review and oversee the troubleshooting of any live ad issues
Interface closely with sales, account services, and support to continuously improve delivery and customer success
Collaborate with finance for accurate invoicing of assigned advertising campaigns
Be a key partner to our product team to feed requirements into our produce development pipeline
Manage the priority and implementation of publisher and partner certifications
You have a proven track record of leading successful ad operations teams
You deeply understand the digital media ecosystem, and have clear ideas about how to help the industry scale
You enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with both partners and clients, and are equally comfortable interfacing internally as externally
You have an insider?s perspective of how media agencies operate and run their campaign process, and are capable of translating advertiser requirements into flawlessly executable plans
You enjoy working with cross-functional teams; prioritizing projects, weighing trade-offs and setting clear expectations
You have excellent and concise communication skills with the ability to speak and present to various levels within the organization
You are highly analytical, organized, and pay close attention to details
You have are familiar with publisher side ad tagging procedures and best practices
More about you
Minimum of 7-10 years work experience, including demonstrated experience in ad operations or in a technical advertising client services environment
Ideally, you have run an operations team at a media agency, or have held a senior role in media that kept you close to the products and vendors buyers use regularly
Previous experience with advertising and sales platforms is a plus: 3rd party ad servers, rich media vendors, data management and demand side platforms, as well as internally-focused tools like Salesfore, JIRA, Asana
BA/BS degree in a technical field preferred with a strong academic record
