Position Overview
The Director of Analytics at Mindjet will manage a team of analysts and technical data staff responsible for tracking, aggregating and interpreting data across a portfolio of SaaS software products, marketing, and sales systems in order to help develop business strategies, measure performance, and understand user behavior each product. This role will focus on developing insights and recommendations to drive user acquisition, conversion, retention, and monetization.
Responsibilities
Define and execute strategy and tactics for gathering and analyzing data to enable fact-based decision making
Partner with Product Managers to execute efficiently the product strategy and drive revenues
Manage of team of Data Scientists, Analysts, and Data/Technical Specialists
Ensure data quality and validity from multiple data sources
Design and maintain performance dashboards and standardized operational reporting including KPIs for acquisition, virality, engagement and monetization of users
Consistently analyze the impact on those key metrics from the release of new product capabilities and marketing campaigns
Perform cohort analyses to thoroughly study the in-product behaviors of various types of users
Provide data-driven recommendations on how to improve retention and monetization
Partner with Marketing staff, Product Managers, and Development teams to properly implement in-product analytics tracking into product code
Partner with Product Managers and the marketing team to continuously optimize user acquisition strategies
Contribute best practices in the use and adoption of analytics, reporting, and tools across the organization
Combine data analytics and competitive intelligence into integrated business strategies
Drive collaboration across teams to define business requirements for the ongoing evolution of the data warehousing, analytics and reporting systems
Conduct regular analyses of the collaboration market as well as benchmarking of key competitive products
Requirements
7+ years in product or marketing analytics in a top-tier user-focused company.
Director+ level management experience required. Ability to lead a team, influence, drive change, and foster cross-functional collaboration
Experience working in companies with SaaS products strongly preferred
Experience supporting the successful rollout trial to buy products a plus
Proficiency analyzing very large, multi-dimensional data sets using modern analysis tools
Strong working knowledge of statistics (e.g., multivariate statistics, predictive modeling, controlled test design)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong executive presence
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools
MBA or relevant Master?s degree in a quantitative discipline. PhD a plus
