SmartPros, the leader in professional education for accounting and engineering professionals, offers a variety of online and off?line CPE/CLE solutions to help individuals, corporations, firms and associations meet requirements. In addition, we produce a leading accounting & finance Web portal.
SmartPros is seeking a ?Director of Application Development? to be based either remotely or in our Hawthorne, NY office. The selected candidate will take charge of our programming team comprised of 22 developers and Q/A personnel who utilize Microsoft-based technologies such as ASP.NET, MS-SQL, TFS, and Visual Studio 2010 to develop, manage, and improve services to our client base of 2,000,000 users in 127 countries.
The ideal candidate MUST possess the following skills and experience:
2+ years in a supervisory position overseeing .NET application development team(s).
2+ years Agile Development methodology experience.
3+ years experience in database design with SQL Server and Web applications development with ASP.NET and C#
Experience with Object Oriented design and development methodologies.
SQL Server 2005/2008.
.NET Framework 2.0 and later.
HTML/CSS/JavaScript and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery.
Experience with Web Services development, XML, UML.
ASP.NET AJAX.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following;
Experience in eLearning delivery methodologies.
Industry knowledge/experience in continuing education in the professions of one or more of; Legal, Accounting, Financial Services, Banking, Engineering.
Experience managing time-zone diverse employees.
SCRUM mastership.
Experience with Telerik controls.
Experience with MS Team Foundation Server.
Ability to analyze requirements and create tech specs.
Experience in SQL Reporting Services 2005/2008.
Immediate availability.
Salary range of $80k-$100k dependent on experience. Benefits include 401K, Medical, FSA, and DCA.
