Director of Business Development VFA
The Director of Business Development will establish, own and drive strategic relationships with partners and their customers. Core responsibilities will include identifying, developing and supporting partners for the sale and integration of VFA software and services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initiate and develop sales relationships with targeted partners through the full cycle
Manage further development of existing strategic partners, proven through increased sales via the partner
Lead partner agreement contract negotiations
Establish working relationships with key executives and working-level staff in partner organizations to ensure successful long-term partnerships
Drive business strategy with partners based on common objectives
Manage all aspects of commercial relationship with partners, including pricing
Support partners in critical customer engagements and business opportunities
Work closely with VFA direct sales teams to ensure effective partner management
Work closely with internal product marketing and engineering to support the partner sales process and resolve technical issues
Provide detailed partner and customer feedback for product planning purposes
Bachelor?s degree in business, engineering, or other related discipline required; MBA highly desirable
8+ years experience in business development, partner relations, sales/channel sales, and/or account management with a proven track record of closing emerging technology deals
Ability to deliver the value proposition effectively to partners and potential partners.
Outstanding track record and experience in cultivating and expanding key sales based strategic partnerships.
Experience working in both large and small organizations
Strong negotiating skills and deal-closing ability
Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills
