The Director of Business Development will help build and lead East Coast publisher sales in recruiting new clients into Jumptap's advertising and data network. This individual will be the focal point in generating and growing traffic and data for Jumptap from mobile websites, media companies, and mobile application developers. This person must be an enthusiastic evangelist in conveying the value of Jumptap's business and technical capabilities to publishers, strategic partners, and the online publishing industry as a whole.
Drive traffic and data growth by enrolling new key publishers and media companies;
Up-sell existing network partners with additional capabilities;
Evangelize Jumptap's business and technical capabilities to strategic industry partners;
Establish and maintain relationships with business partners that have publishers and media companies as their customers;
Represent publisher interest within Jumptap to ensure their needs are addressed.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred;
Proven record of effective sales and/or business development;
5+ years of experience in media sales/business development in online or software industry required;
Extensive knowledge of online search, online advertising, or mobile landscape highly preferred;
Publisher and media relationships and experience strongly preferred;
Formal sales and/or presentation training preferred;
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with highly complex concepts;
Excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills;
Strong business acumen and professionalism; excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent customer focus and attention to detail;
Occasional domestic travel as required.
