Director of Business Development Technorati
The Director, Business Development position will be working with a top notch, seasoned and high energy team of online advertising veterans reporting to the President / Chief Strategy Officer. This candidate will be responsible for identifying and building partnerships with emerging online technology media platforms and premium content partners. You will be responsible for developing and managing relationships and closing distribution agreements with Agency Trading Desks, DSP?s, SSP?s, Exchanges, data vendors, premium publishers and social networks, to meet the strategic growth needs of the Comapany?s content network and the sales channel expansion. You must be comfortable and proficient selling the value of an industry leading advertising technology / platform to the online media community and closing for commitment. You will be collaborating with numerous points of contact both internal and external as you move through the business development process from pitch, scope, contract, and integration. You must be passionate in your way of work, possess a proven online sales and/or BD success record in and have a current network of contacts in the online advertising and/or publishing space, and have a clear understanding of all facets of the online advertising eco-system.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop and close product distribution, technology integration and partnership agreements with Agency trading desks, display Demand/Supply Side Platforms, ad networks, exchanges online publisher and other relevant product distribution platforms in the online advertising eco-system.
Spec and define programs to drive revenue through new partner channels.
Support Sales penetration of new technology-based media buying channels in the online Agency and client environments.
Close deals with premium/strategic publishers to be part of our exclusive network.
Work with Product, Marketing and Sales to help define the needs and direction of the Company?s role and position in the fast growing online ecosystem.
Uncover new business/revenue opportunities and help to model them for success.
Exceeding quarterly signings and revenue targets.
Ensuring prompt and proper resolution of business issues with partners.
Requirements:
BA/BS required, MBA preferred.
5+ years experience in advertising sales/business development online media environment
3 to 5+ years experience in selling advertising technology-driven products to the premium publishing community
Network of contacts in the web business
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong analytical skills a must
Track record of setting and achieving metrics
Organized self-starter mentality
Travel as necessary
Proactive, driven, entrepreneurial and action-oriented individual who can accomplish goals from start to finish and who thrives in fast-paced challenging environments
