DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Chairs Compliance Committees (consisting of senior management at each corporate entity).
Oversees organizations?s compliance with the Corporate Integrity Agreement.
Leads Code of Conduct annual training and certification process.
Leads risk assessment process and organization?s effort in proactively identifying and prioritizing compliance risks.
Maintains inventory of business unit risks, controls and status of controls effectiveness.
Oversees development of, and tracks progress against, annual compliance plan which addresses compliance priorities.
Provides regular reporting regarding status of compliance program and significant compliance issues.
With input and approval of the Compliance Committee, assists the organization in updating policies and procedures and designing and implementing controls for the general operation of the Compliance Program and related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
Oversees system for intake and tracking of compliance complaints, matters and initiatives.
Provides oversight and management of the compliance Hotline. Gathers relevant information regarding disclosures relating to state or federal healthcare programs to determine whether internal review is warranted.
Develops and administers compliance training programs, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers, in coordination with Legal, HR and other functions as appropriate.
Coordinates with HR exclusion screening program.
Provides support for contract management and other corporate/operational initiatives, as required.
