MotoSport, Inc. is a leading direct-to-consumer, multi-channel retailer of parts, accessories and apparel for the personal motorized recreational vehicles market including dirt bike, sport bike, ATV and cruiser. Our new Distribution Center is a fully automated 300,000 sqft facility located in Southaven, Mississippi. We are looking for a Director of Consumer Fulfillment that's as passionate as our customers to oversee all operations at this facility.
Overview
This position reports to the CEO in Tualatin, OR and is a key member of the management team. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a high volume, direct to consumer pick and pack operation with the primary goal of achieving on-time and accurate shipments that beat customers' expectations. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in distribution center strategic planning, innovation management, organizational structure, and employee relations skills. The Director will demonstrate a polished level of business acumen, be a key participant in annual budget preparations, process improvement initiatives, problem solving, decision making, personnel development, and establishing priorities in-line with our company strategy. This individual will provide strong internal and external customer focus to support and improve the customer experience and satisfaction through key metrics related to merchandise, order throughput, accuracy, and customer satisfaction ratings and assessments. This position will provide professional leadership to create and maintain a positive work environment. Through team building, collaboration, open dialogue and communication, this individual will provide and support exempt and non-exempt associate training, goal setting, coaching feedback, and performance review assessment. This individual will build relationships based on integrity, trust, and mutual respect supporting a diverse work force that encourages job satisfaction, retention, and results.
Essential Job Functions:
Drives employee satisfaction through improved working conditions, communication and prompt follow up to open concerns/opportunities.
Establishes and executes clear performance expectations for all reporting team members.
Oversees the fulfillment organization to ensure the safety, security and efficiency of the operation.
Promotes a culture that continually focuses on the needs of the customer.
Provides strategic leadership to develop, coach and mentor team members.
Manages and executes the flow of goods through quality controls, pick, pack, shipment and returns. Works closely with other key executives on budgets, trend analysis, staffing and financial reporting.
Develops and maintains inventory and physical security control.
Negotiates favorable contract terms with Fulfillment Center suppliers.
Provides Executive Management with guidance and expertise for continued evolution of our fulfillment strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Business, Logistics, or a related field of study.
7-10 years prior experience in a high-level management role, specifically in a high volume direct to consumer operation dealing with a large employee population.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), including setup and management of controlling parameters and rules.
Experience in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
Proven ability to work and manage a team in a changing environment --?? creatively overcome --??growing pain--? issues.
Strong financial, analytical and decision-making skills; detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive employee relations and effective relationships across functional boundaries, with customers, and with suppliers while driving business results.
Ability to collaborate with key business partners, interpret and overcome obstacles, and to continuously improve the customer experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proven project management skills.
Proven leadership, management and strong written and verbal communication skills required.
