Director of Content Marketing Ebrary
The Director of Content Product Marketing is responsible for driving market growth in a highly competitive environment. The role is responsible for creating and managing a portfolio of successful content products with an emphasis on developing sales and marketing strategies to expand our products market share and support our sales channels by analyzing customer data and requests.
Some of what you?ll be doing:
Deep Dive: Research and identify market needs and trends and new areas of potential growth
Business Case Master: Develop successful business cases for any required interface enhancements and work with technical product management team on requirements
Content Curator: Define a content collection strategy and create successful high-value subscription programs with our Content Collection team
Value Prop Pro: Identify and support the new publisher acquisition process with value propositions and sales projections that will drive engagements that drive our business forward
Detailed Data Doyen: Analyze content, sales and usage of subscription data in relation to market needs and competitive pressures. Lead a team to translate the analysis into actionable plans to support renewals and attract new customers for the Academic Complete suite of products
Price Maven: Advise the Pricing Team on market pricing requirements and competitor offerings create pricing packages supporting sales of the key products and maintaining high gross margins as well as develop pricing strategies for new and under-served markets (consortia, corporate, international)
Marketing Material Master: Create strong value propositions and product roadmaps to define collection strategies and market stories to support the Product Marketing group in the creation of successful marketing and sales support materials and tools.
Focus Group Facilitator: Lead focus groups with customers and publishers, create product advisory boards, and participate in conferences and industry meetings to establish a thought leadership position in the industry that helps position ebrary as integral to the development of the scholarly value chain
What you?ll have experience doing:
Bachelors? degree plus at least 5 years of experience in Publishing, Development of Content Products or Product Marketing
Solid understanding of the changing environment for both publishers and libraries and the ability to work with various teams to develop products that deliver a solid value proposition to establish ebrary as the channel of choice for e-books
Ability to develop new products for the Academic markets as well as the Public Library market and for Vocational and Career colleges that support revenue growth and customer acquisition in multiple channels
Manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize responsibilities
Collaborate across multiple groups within ProQuest to identify new business models to meet customer needs and to help specify and develop tools for greater efficiency and for the more effective merchandizing of our entire suite of content in key markets worldwide
Masters? degree preferred
