Director of Corporate Communications DriveCam

DriveCam is looking for a seasoned Communications professional to join our team. This position will work directly with our Executive Leadership Team and will contribute to the overall strategic communications plan and direction for the company. They will support the development, implementation, and coordination of corporate messaging for the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute corporate communications strategies and plans, based on company strategies and goals.
Manage and nurture relationships with business and financial media, customers and business partners. to ensure the DriveCam reputation is enhanced through proactive communications.
Prepare executives and other company spokespeople for media interviews and speaking opportunities.
Act as company spokesperson in print and broadcast situations.
Develop content including press releases, FAQs, presentations, blog copy, bylined articles, etc.
Collaborate closely with all parts of the organization including marketing, sales, human capital, operations and R&D.
Manage the DriveCam newsroom and oversee content calendar for the corporate blog and social media channels.
In conjunction with the human capital team, develop internal communications programs.
Measure and provide insight on share of voice, reputation and sentiment.
Manage communications agency of record.
Act as Brand Ambassador at key industry events.
All other responsibilities as directed by the SVP of Corporate Communications.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor?s degree in Communications, Journalism or English is preferred.
Five-10 years corporate communications experience, including both internal and external communications.
Ability to think strategically, exercise sound judgment and effectively manage and execute multiple projects at the same.
Excellent writing skills, including experience in creating, writing, editing, proof reading within a professional organization.
Must be able to interface with all levels of staff in a professional and collaborative manner.
Experience establishing and maintaining strong partnership with internal and external contacts.
Must have significant prior experience working with media, bloggers, industry analysts and influencers.
Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize are required.
Prior agency experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to influence others and collaborate in a matrixed, global organization is required.
Must have strong leadership abilities and the ability to present effectively in group settings.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
