Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications-Bay Area or SLC Venafi

Core responsibilities include the need to 1) educate the market on the increasing and costly operational, security and failed-audit risks of enterprise encryption deployments, 2) perpetuate strong company and product brand presence in the market and among our Global 2000 target organizations, and 3) generate new sales and channel opportunities through our corporate website, online user experience, press and media relations, social marketing, design, collateral and corporate events.
Ensure key, strategic company, solution and product messages are communicated effectively to target audiences, including customers, partners, prospects, press and media contacts, industry pundits and employees.
Drive the development and execution of marketing communications programs to further sales objectives and increase global mindshare and awareness across target verticals.
Manage all aspects of corporate marketing activities and implementation, including copy writing, collateral design and production, web presence and online communities, and branding and advertising.
Partner with and provide leadership to internal sales, product marketing, product management, business development teams to ensure absolute excellence and clarity in all client and prospect facing content and communication vehicles.
Oversee tradeshow and other in-person event strategies and execute with team from concept to completion.
Own a wide range of intra-and inter-departmental, company and industry responsibilities communicating strategic messages and value of the solutions being undertaken by the business.?
Build and oversee social marketing and media programs and online communities of practice.
Minimum Requirements
8 years of relevant work experience in marketing. Experience in marketing B2B technology products or services preferred.
Demonstrate outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Proven track record of developing effective metrics for measuring marketing program and activity performance.
Bachelor?s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study.
Strong understanding of marketing concepts.
Excellent decision-making, problem solving and negotiating skills.
Strong virtual team management skills.
Excellent budget management skills required.
Innovator with the ability to influence staff and management at all levels (internally and externally).
A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously.
Strong interpersonal communication skills - ability to present at all levels of the organization and be a positive public representative for Venafi to outside organizations.
The ability to work independently in changing environments, and the ability/willingness to learn.
Experience of working in a global marketing environment and with an understanding of the different requirements demanded by cultures, languages etc
Location choices will be either the Bay Area or Salt Lake City, UT office
