Role
Internally works with Account Team to:
Defines stakeholders and executive sponsorship with sales team
Reviews the requirements
Establishes acceptance criteria
Organizes and facilitates training and workshops for service delivery personnel.
Works with customer to:
Confirm or establish the roles and responsibilities
Confirms the requirements and acceptance criteria
Confirms deployment plan, resources and timeline
Builds strong relationships with clients and making sure:
the services provided are of quality and meet the requirements.
Supervises the service delivery team and ensures that training, professional services and support are timely and appropriate
Confirms satisfaction with customer
Ensures Catbird is responsive to changes
Identifies and manages changes in scope, timeline and or resources
The service delivery manager also networks with clients to determine and evaluate their business needs with the aim of setting priorities.
Requirements:
People-management skills coupled with strong communication skills are essential in service delivery management.
Proper planning of projects and programs is vital, and as a result, a service delivery manager must have good planning skills that go along with proper time management.
Problem-solving skills are also important, to come up with solutions for service-related issues affecting clients and team members alike.
Previous work experience in service delivery and leadership skills are a plus.
At a minimum, the person must have technical skills in two of three areas:
Networking
Security (firewall, vulnerability, IDS)
Virtualization
