Summary of Responsibilities:
Ellie Mae is seeking a Director of Demand Generation who will drive demand creation strategies, programs and the team to continue the acceleration of our dramatic growth. This person will oversee demand generation strategy, execution, and budgets, and be accountable for the B2B lead generation results for Ellie Mae?s target audiences.
In this role, you will lead our demand generation strategy, build out the team, establish marketing metrics & reporting that leverages Marketing Automation (Eloqua) and CRM (Salesforce.com) tools and practices to support our sales force, grow our brand, and generate revenue.
You will work closely with sales to ensure proper alignment of goals and delivery of marketing qualified leads to fuel our rapidly growing business.
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives:
Design lead-generation and lead-nurturing strategies, programs, and metrics to support Ellie Mae?s revenue and bookings goals.
Leverage and manage Eloqua and Salesforce.com to measure, track and analyze marketing programs and performance.
Leverage appropriate resources (internal and external) to accomplish tactical tasks associated with customized landing pages, e-mail campaigns, webinars, etc.
Develop, test and refine components of our marketing mix (lists, e-mail templates, landing pages, offers, advertising etc.) and continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
Manage our portfolio of demand generation programs, including integrated campaign management, database and email marketing, lead nurturing, lead scoring, search marketing/online marketing, etc.
Communicate with marketing, senior leadership, and sales management on an ongoing basis regarding new and nurtured lead performance results, current initiatives, and course corrections being taken.
Test campaigns, landing pages, lists etc. to continually identify ways to improve conversion rates.
Hire and manage a team of demand generation and marketing operations professionals.
Develop a detailed strategy for generating and nurturing leads at all stages of the sales funnel.
Qualifications, Skills & Education:
BA/BS in related area required, MBA desired
Minimum 8 -- 10+ years marketing experience
Management experience required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Demand Generation for B2B software or technology company, with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results
Deep experience with Marketing Automation (preferably Eloqua) and SalesForce.com to generate, capture, nurture, track and report on leads, conversions, and ROI
Experience in running a portfolio of quality lead generation and marketing programs with particular emphasis in online marketing programs. Experience should include: email and database marketing, online lead generation, search marketing, sponsorships, etc.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills ? must have both an interest and skill in analyzing and making meaning out of data and translating that in to actionable changes
