This position focuses on the Identity and Access Management family of products (expreSSO and Vergence). This team?s core products are focused on bridging work flow fragmentation in health care enterprises through exciting solutions in identity, sign-on and off, and context management. The product line (expreSSO, Vergence, ProVision, Way2Care, Privacy Auditor, Vault Sync Services) bridges gaps in a virtually seamless fashion in many of today?s environments.
The role we are looking to fill offers a unique opportunity to be part of a highly desired and growing area in the industry and an area that is arguably one of the most pressing needs of our time. The Principal Development Manager role provides opportunities for technical contribution, thought leadership, and people management. Key accountabilities in this role include driving product development, developing technical strategy, establishing engineering processes & infrastructure, performance management, and talent development. You?ll collaborate with senior leaders across the organization and broader Microsoft community in delivering value to the company and our customers.
Qualifications include a minimum 10 years of hands-on software development experience, 7+ years in a people management role overseeing the delivery of commercial products across multiple Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), patents or other intellectual property contributions, and excellent verbal and written communications. Deep technical insight, emotional intelligence, and leading by example are required to be effective in this role. Experience developing software on the Windows platform, knowledge of Windows internals, Web technologies, .Net framework, C#, XML, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server are a must. Some Linux knowledge is desirable. A bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required; Masters Degree preferred. Experience managing distributed teams is a plus.
