Job Description:This opportunity is the start-up of a new lab validating and creating assays in genetic and DNA testing. This testing could compliment the VAP by using the test results to determine the genetic disposition of a patient and determining the dosage level a drug will react with the patient.
Experience and Skills:
PHD molecular biology or related with dissertation or experience in molecular diagnostics, molecular DNA diagnostics
Formal degree in biochemistry / molecular biology
Prefer someone with knowledge of new technologies (QTPCR,real time PCR) gene sequencing
Experience in Lab Developed Tests (LDT) or working in a CLIA (clinical lab improvement act) lab
Need assay development and the ability to form them from reading literature or medical findings
Come from a competitive or Molecular lab where they develop assays for testing
Cardiovascular or Diabetes Research along with risk factors would be a plus
It would be plus if you have managed a process or started a lab from scratch
Buy materials, develop the lab, do the testing, hire people, supervise, testing
Scientist with high sense of urgency and ability to work well with others
5-10 years with experience in method development and validation
Commiserate Salary based on experience
